We have spent the day in the Conquest - odd really because I’m pretty certain that Tetsabb is closer to here, and I am closer to EGH. But anyway- there has been no sign of the sun at all in Hastings. It has been alternating between raining heavily and absolutely pissing it down all day.
I’m think with what suze said earlier about the English weather, we could really do with some Caribbean weather. Then I look and realise this current weather is a gift from the Caribbean.

I got round my little lap of the village in sunshine. I am near Heathfield, so much closer to Eastbourne than Hastings

Beautiful late summer day today - not humid, warm but not too hot, sunshine.

The Met Office heavy rain icon is now showing until noon when it becomes a light shower icon until 4pm. As suze says above, none of the forecast sites are much cop so I'm not planning my day around it. And in fact, it rained until about 8 pm.
The Met Office doesn't have a clue. I haven't seen Farage for a while, but if and when I do I shall suggesting that he includes defunding the Met Office in his next manifesto.

Overcast this morning, a bit warmer though at this time of year here, the temperature can yo-yo a bit.
Predicted rain/thunder to start this afternoon though so I had better get on my way to my planned activity across the suburbs.
EDIT - this afternoon, there were some dark clouds, a few drops of rain and some thunder in my area. Got home just in time. Saw that central Victoria had large hailstones.

Sunny with a bit of light cloud down here.

Yesterday was reasonably bright and clear, but today's revolting. Heavy overcast, and although it's not raining at this very moment, it was and certainly will again.

Sunny and windy. I thought it was time to bring washing in, and glanced out the window to see large dark clouds. Very, very faint mizzle was just starting as I got the last items off the line.

It turned out quite a pleasant day today down here on the coast. It was a bit on the windy side, but I blame the beans on toast for lunch It comes with the territory.
About yesterday's weather post Tets, I thought you were in one of the *Field's a little further east. And oddly, just after I posted, it brightened up somewhat.
Weather suggests it might be a bit more of the same from this afternoon - tempted to see if the patient might fancy a walk along the top of the beach to get some fresh air.

After the beautiful warm day Sunday, before the thundery change, today was colder with a wind. The weather this week is predicted to be back to temps in the high teens and some rain.

Rain overnight and early morning, but much sunshine for Heathfield's French market. See 'How was your day?' thread

Likewise here in parts of Australia where although it's technically winter, weather like that is called an 'Indian summer'. Sunday was a taste of that.

Very windy tonight, it hit this afternoon and the main road near the library where I volunteer, with tall buildings, was a real wind tunnel around 3pm.
Online it's saying the wind gusts are around 40 km/hour, it feels cold because of the draughts coming through my door, but the heater's hardly running.

Pretty well unbroken sunshine and a gentle breeze all day. Shirts and sandals, as opposed to jeans and trainers. On my feet, you understand

Wind reached its peak overnight, along with some rain. Some areas lost power as expected, I unplugged this computer and a few things. Gusts of over 100 km/hour were recorded, and according to the news, at 8.45am, we are currently in a 'lull' with stronger winds set to return later.
Some of the highest in the state: (Falls Creek is one of our alpine/skiing mountains)
124 km/h wind gust was recorded at Cape Otway at 4:24 am
119 km/h wind gust was recorded at Wilsons Promontory at 8:08 am
106 km/h wind gust was recorded at Portland at 3:16 am
104 km/h wind gust was recorded at Falls Creek at 4:48 am
I'd better hurry up and get out for my messages then. Have to walk around to the council offices to pay an account - don't have enough in the bank to pay it online when I also have to allow for the monthly library association fee due out next week.

Dry bright sunny with a gentle breeze again today. Mid 20s forecast. Near perfect, in my opinion

Bit of a reprieve today though the wind was still cold. Set to return tomorrow with another front crossing the state and then some more over the weekend with rain. And then I hope that's the last of the winter weather!
Struggling to stay warm tonight, the cold draught coming in is more than what my heater can cope with.

Strong winds overnight again, though they eased off today. I spent half my time at the religious complex staring out the window at the clouds though only upon getting home did a few drops fall. More wild weather is scheduled for the weekend.

Windy and cold again on Saturday morning, though these winds aren't as bad as the other day. Still going to be cold, my whole body hurts from it and the heater can't keep up with the draughts coming through the top and side of the door being stronger than what the heater can cope with.

And various Queensland towns have broken heat record temperatures for August, with most reaching 38 C this week, a small town on the Qld/Northern Territory border reached 39. As much as I'm wanting some warmer weather, that is too hot.

We had rain yesterday morning, but it was gone by 10 am and the rest of the day was dry. Even so, the weather forecast of sunshine and warmth was risible, and the day was very grey and decidedly autumnal. It is suze policy that knees shall not be covered up in the month of August and so I did wear shorts, but I promised myself that it would be jeans tomorrow (ie today) if the conditions were similar.
It's a much nicer day today, and the resort to jeans has not happened.
