Dry and bright. I will shortly be heading to Cambridge, to visit Sally Carr in hospital. She is due an operation in a few days. May well meet up with swot for a coffee. Can I assume that all here send their best to both?

Warm and gusty day, changing this afternoon/evening to a lightning show and good cloud displays.

Temperatures in the sixties now, and the trees are starting to get a bit more autumn (sorry tetsabb...) colour. When I start spelling it color without thinking about that, you can regard me as fully Americanised.

Wet and windy again here today, will the warmer weather ever come?

Wet and drippy all day yesterday, changing to some of the thickest fog I've ever seen in the wee small hours (when I put the bin out). I couldn't see properly to the next street, and that was with street lights on.

Glorious summer day for the most part, there was a momentary threat of rain in Hay on Wye earlier, but it passed us by, blue skies all the way home...

Blue and sunny, then overcast, then sunny. I managed to go for a walk and not get rained on. I went to the nearby vineyard, where the village has been invited to come and pick next Sunday. The gate was open, so I went and had a close-up look. A lot if tge grapes looked very small, considering how wet it has been for much of the year.

Rainy rainy rainy. I went swimming this morning and walked out of building afterwards without bothering to put the hood up on my coat since my hair was still wet anyway.

Really wet around here today. However, I managed to get to my car in Newark Park's car park between downpours. Just as well, as I'd left my brolly in the car!

It was really quite pleasant during daylight hours. There was sun on and off, and it was in no way cold.
But since darkness has fallen, the day has turned into something much like everybody else's.

Sunny but it's definitely getting chillier. Temperatures were down in the forties last night, and it's looking like time to bring my geraniums indoors and take cuttings to (hopefully) nurture them through the winter.

Dry and bright and very still. It was chilly last night when I went out to catch sight of the aurora. It won't let me attach a pic from my camera, as it is too big.

Very blowy although mild and sunny, wheelies bins have been going on jaunts and we have trees and cables down all over the place. Had a spell earlier this morning where the power cut and came back on about 5 times in a 15 minute period. Caused my PC some grief as when it came on the last time it was adamant that my bluetooth card didn't exist, a bit strange as it is housed on the wifi card which was working fine. Turned PC off, unplugged the power cord and counted to 30, reattached and powered up, hey presto all fixed. If you have a power outage and stuff on your PC seems to be not working or it wont power on, try this as sometimes it needs a complete lack of power and some time to drain caps to allow it to revert to its working state.

For the recent gale force winds that were predicted here, at 10 pm before going to bed, I unplugged my laptop and other devices so that if we got an outage or surge, it might mean those things wouldn't be damaged.

Yesterday was reasonably bright, mostly. But there was virtually no wind. As I have said before, we live on top of a hill, so get any breeze there is going. Yesterday I hung out washing, and almost every time I went out the back, it simply was not moving. Most unusual

Today was lovely, despite the slight shower of rain last night at 10pm, ground was wet this morning. Though around 7.45 pm, a strong wind suddenly came and blew over things not tied down.
Tomorrow is set to be a mixed bag - sunshine, possible rain and thunder. I don't know yet if it's going to come to the area I'm in tomorrow or not, or if my train home will be affected.

Foggy. Very thick as I went into Heathfield at 0730. And yes, people were driving with no lights!

Warmish temperature of 20-21 C, but a cold wind still that meant every nerve in my body hurt and staying home is no help when the gaps in the windows that open, mean the draught comes right through my place. There's also a gap at the top of the back door.
Had a sleepless night from this, felt lousy today, missing my voluntary work and hope I feel better tomorrow.

"Thick of fog" is a Maine expression I like. It wasn't foggy today though - quite sunny earlier, though cloudy now.

The Beeb forecast last evening suggested your part of the world might be a trifle soggy today. We have sun, but a 35% chance of rain soon, so my washing load may need to start drying indoors.

They were right! Varying from peeing down to just miserably wet so far. I have a handy downspout visible from my window as I type, so I can judge the rain before I leave the house. Vaguely trickling atm, but has been pouring earlier....
