Terpsichore is the patron muse of lyric poetry and dancing... (not music).

From a YT comment;
"Christmas has full stop ,ruined by greed and commercialism."
How does an English speaking person look at that sentence and think it's ok? There's a whole word (been) missing, the words "full stop" are in the wrong place, and followed by a comma, which is spaced wrongly. I get what they are trying to say, but it SHOULD be;
"Christmas has been ruined by greed and commercialism, full stop."

Or perhaps, bearing in mind that it is written not spoken,
"Christmas has been ruined by greed and commercialism."

I think saying 'full stop' verbally, adds to the emphasis of the message. That it's done, it's final.

Australian tv journalist - re an item on King Charles coming down under - 'it could provoke a royal row' but said 'row' as rhyming with go, not how.
And a FB comment - their mores and values. I think they mean to say morals.

Comment beneath a YouTube video about GameBoy screen upgrades...
I wondered if English might not be his first language so I took a look at his channel. It is.
One of his videos shows him playing "Supermaiero" on the "2dsgams".

Bad Norwegian, but the point still stands when translated to English. A Norwegian zoo has a cheetah that just gave birth, and one of the facts in rotation on the live-stream of mother and cubs is that it's "unique" that she's given birth because cheetahs are very selective about who to mate with. Erm... It might be a less common occurence than other animal births in zoos, but it is not unique, it's not the first time a cheetah has given birth, either in captivity or the wild. Here's a link to the live-stream if you want a look at the cheetahs: www.youtube.com/live/PxyuT6eTHoE?si=OWOXN0C3ASqiH8_l

While out with the cowboys last night, our chief cowboy mentioned to me that he had heard about a new DNA test that has supposedly "identified" Jack the Ripper. I had my doubts, so I searched it out, and my doubts were duly confirmed. However, what made me groan was the heading that came up in the search when I put in the "trade name".
"Who was Jack the Ripper's identity?".....

And rolling tv coverage for the King and Camilla's visit to Australia:

I get that the reporter may be speaking 'on the hop' but still, it should be bunches of native flowers.

You will all, I hope, be aware of the concept of "torque". Less of you might be aware of how certain nuts and bolts should be tightened to a specific torque, and that there are wrenches made to ensure the specific amounts of torque are applied to said nuts and bolts.
Someone on FB is selling a "talk" wrench......

I've only seen Torque as in the make of a car. Though my former bus driver friend may educate me more on the nuts and bolts of the other stuff, also being that way inclined.
