In case anybody is in the habit of looking at the old forums, dr.bob has just emailed me to warn that they will be down for two days, Thursday and Friday this week, for essential maintenance. Don't panic if you can't find them - they'll be back at the weekend.

I know dr.bob's been working on them - interesting that they now look more like the Proboards format.

Pro boards use the same front end as Qi. It’s just when Gray set it up initially there were so many tweaks to it they got into a state with the updates when he left.
In a way I felt sorry for dr bob, he was always on a hiding to nothing when it came to maintaining the site, meaning it could never be updated to the more secure (from a moderation pov) versions without a lot of work with little reward. Now it’s closed to all but the elves, there is a lot more flexibility in the management available.
