The Edgebaston Test is essentially over.
West Indies 1st Inns 282 Brathwaite 61 Atkinson (4-67) England 1st Inns 376 Smith 95 Joseph (4-122) West Indies 2nd Inns 175 Louis 57 Wood (5-40)
Stokes (Crawley is having a scan on finger injury) and Duckett have come in to open in England's 2nd innings with 82 to make and have quickly moved on to 38 for 0 with Stokes responsible for 31 of those over a mere three overs.
4.2 overs to the combined 50 is the joint fastest by any team in any innings.
Stokes is on the pace individually for the fastest ever 50 by an England batsman - 28 balls as things stand; the fastest ever by anyone is 21 balls I'm told.
72 off 6 overs
Stokes brings up his 50 with a 6 (24 balls) 80 for 0.
The seventh over starts at 81 for 0 with Stokes on strike and Brathwaite bowling... Stokes slams him for a 6 off the second ball.
Stokes 57* Duckett 25* 87 for 0 off 7.2 overs
England win the series 3-0.

Meanwhile in Belfast, in the one-off Test between Ireland and Zimbabwe, 2 Irish batters ran 5, involving no overthrows. Fielder stopped the ball inside the boundary, but overran a ways, and they had time to run the 5 by the time he had got back to it and thrown it in. I bet he wishes he had not bothered.
