Saw a structure like a grave with a fence around it. A bird dropped a young bird between the fence and like-a-grave, then took off with another bird that I realised was her young. Wondered if the first one was prey.
Also reading a new book from a friend, I said I knew the author and they were at that event.

Perhaps a delayed reaction to the dietary strictures imposed on me by diabetes, but last night my subconscious created the most pancreas-unfriendly dessert I had ever seen. UK posters may recall the confection sold by many ice cream vans, where you get a sort of wafer oystershell, filled with whipped ice cream? Imagine about a hundred of them, laid into a rectangular glass bowl about three feet by eighteen inches, which is then filled to the brim with more whipped ice cream and chocolate sauce, such that the "oysters" are a mere crunchy accompaniment to the ice cream. Probably about eleventy-six million calories, and a few grams of actual protein..

A goat had got hold of my four personal washers/sponges and pulled on them. Completed petitions were dropped in my letterbox and I thought I could deliver them with friends.

An amateur suburban orchestra had a concert designed for kids but with a difference. I said my local one had given up the kids concerts as they didn't attract the audience.
I greeted one conductor, wondering if she'd remember me, then saw one from my group.
Lots of Chinese and Indian kids, counting bars of rests, were told to be quiet while doing it.
I then saw train cabs being pushed along, and a worker sang something.

Complicated and pointless dream, but at one point I looked down and I appeared to have three legs! Musing on this when I woke up, and it occured to me that when an infamous antipodean japester appeared as a tripedal character, partly due to the limitations of his prosthesis, he did not move in the most efficient manner such a person could achieve.
Iirc, he would usually progress middle leg, then outer legs, then middle leg and so on. Pondering the matter, it seems to me that a far more efficient system would be middle, left, middle, right, middle, left and so on. Try it with your fingers and see what you think.

That dream wasn't actually about Jake The Peg at all, was it?
The dead Australian pederast didn't really invent the Jake The Peg routine anyway. Sheet music for a Dutch song called Ik ben Van der Steen (Met het derde Been) (= "I am van der Steen (With the third leg)") was published in ~1930 and credited to a Dutch fellow called Harry Botschuiver. Dhr Botschuijver didn't really write a new tune for the occasion; it's more or less Ta-ra-ra boom-de-ay, and the Jake The Peg tune that we know today is the one part which may have been original to he who had a big hit with Two little boys. You can see the front page of the Dutch sheet music here. The beardy Stylophonist apparently heard this at a cabaret in Vancouver in the 60s, and shamelessly stole it.
A bit of Googling in Dutch tells me that dhr Botschuijver was "humorist, conferencier, tekstdichter, uitgever, zanger en feestarrangeur", which covers most of the bases. He was also the grandfather of a Dutch Schlager singer called André Hazes (1951-2004), about whom our friend in Haarlem will know more than I.
Father Abraham - yes, he of the Smurfs, but without his little blue friends on this occasion - had a hit with the song in the Netherlands, and that rendition can be heard here. The good Vader may possibly have borrowed some of the Australian choreography.

No, it was definitely me! I can't now recall what I was doing, I just remember looking down and seeing two slip-on shoes such as now adorn the crissdee lower extremities, and one lace-up of similar design.. Another thing that I have just recalled, but in a dream about a week ago. My subconscious came up with the name "T'Kilsey-Smith". The fact that it doesn't have a wiggly red line underneath it suggests it does actually exist somewhere. Where that is, and how it came to impinge itself on my subconscious but not my conscious mind, is another matter...
